Wool:
The wool version of the LRB M1951 is built using the same 100% wool that we use for our Boreal shirts. The wool LRB M1951 features a snap closure making this more of a Jacket than a shirt, though you can wear it either way. The outside has two upper chest pockets with flap closures - each secured with a snap. The outside also has two side pockets - each with para-cord loop to secure your keys or tools. The wrists are double snap closure. On the inside, there are four pockets sewn in: two open/slip style chest pockets and two zipper closure lower pockets.
Wool is naturally flame retardant, antibacterial, and resistant to dirt and oils. It holds body heat when it's wet, and wicks moisture away from your body to regulate your personal environment. You'll spend less time worrying about staying clean, working with fire in camp, or changing your layers when the temperatures shift. What's more, we've pre-shrunk the fabric so you can care for it at home.
Care Instructions: cold wash on gentle cycle with fragrance free detergent and hang to dry
Waxed Canvas:
The waxed canvas version of the LRB M1951 is built using 7oz waxed sail cloth in the color moss. The waxed canvas LRB M1951 features a snap closure making this more of a Jacket than a shirt, though you can wear it either way.
The waxed coating on the canvas makes for better wind resistance and repels water.
Waxed canvas is stiff, like regular canvas, and will soften with wear over time. It looks and feels better the more you use it. It’s durable, water resistant, and breathable.
Care Instructions are important as to not break down the wax coating on the canvas.
DO NOT: Dry clean, Machine wash or dry, use warm or hot water or use any type of detergent - all of these will break down the wax coating which compromises the finish and water resistance.
To clean: Use a soft, dry brush to lightly scrub away dried mud or dirt. If needed, use plain cold water, then rinse and allow the canvas to air dry.
Canvas - WW2 Frog Pattern
The Canvas WW2 Frog Pattern version of the LRB M1951 is built using heavy herringbone pattern printed with jungle green on one side (exterior) and beach/desert pattern on the opposite (interior). This version LRB M1951 features a snap closure making this more of a Jacket than a shirt, though you can wear it either way.
Care Instructions: cold wash on gentle cycle with fragrance free detergent and hang to dry.
